The Masaimara is the world’s top safari big game viewing eco-system. Together with the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania forms Africa’s most diverse,incredible and most spectacular eco-system. The landscape has grassy plains and rolling hills, and is crossed by the Mara and Talek rivers. The Sun River seperates Masaimara from Tanzania. Masaimara is an unfenced preserved savannah wilderness where animals can roam free. The vast plains hosts over 95 species of mammals and over 570 recorded species of birds. Masaimara is situated in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Wildebeest traverse its plains during their annual migration taking place between late July to end of September,though this timing can vary somewhat due to prevailing rainfall patterns. Morethan 1.5 million wildebeest, zebra and antelopes that migrate from the Serengeti northwards into the Masai Mara in search of food and water, and as part of their mating and birth cycles. Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru are two jewels of Kenya enroute Masaimra from Nairobi. Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake situated at the highest elevation of the Kenyan Rift valley.It is comparatively closer to Nairobi. Nakuru is for flamingos and Naivasha is for pelicans. The whole eco system of Nakuru has been built up around this Rift valley soda lake which is the life line ofthe national park. The lake is famous for the greatest bird spectacle on earth –myriads of fuchsia pink flamingos sometimes a million, or even two million feed on the abundant algae, which thrives in the warm waters of the lake .It is a breathtaking sight to behold. Another famous park of Kenya is the Amboselli National Park with views of The Kilimanjaro and huge herds of Tuskers among other animals.

The Serengeti ecosystem, is situated within the Mara and Arusha Regions of Tanzania.It stands as a remarkable geographical region in Africa. It is renowned for hosting the worlds most significant land animal migration, thereby securing its status as one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. Notably, the Serengeti provides an exceptional opportunity to observe prides in their natural habitat. The name itself translates to -endless plains. Its vastness is nearly ten times that of Masai Mara in Kenya. The Ngorongoro Crater, a large volcanic caldera is part of the Serengeti ecosystem and the crater is teeming with wildlife. The lake Manyara and lake Tarangire add more beauty to the incredible destination of Tanzania. One is generally lucky to find the tree climbing lions at Manyara.
itinerary
Morning on arrival at Nairobi International airport, our guide will meet you and drive to Lake Nakuru. Check-in followed by rest. Post lunch, we set out for a game drive at Lake Nakuru National park, a gem teeming with abundant flora and fauna. Situated at the foothills of the Great Rift Valley and surrounded by alkaline swamps and bushy grasslands, it is renowned for its topographical and ecological diversity. The soda lake which supports much of the wildlife in this national park is a sight for sore eyes. Return to the lodge by evening.
Early morning enjoy breakfast and check out and at approx. 8:30 am. We drive into MasaiMara, the flagship wildlife park of Kenya. Known as the mother of all wildlife parks, Masai Mara is an ideal place for you to see the African big five, namely elephant, rhino, lion, leopard, and buffalo in all their glory! Being a mecca of wildlife, you will also get to spot other animals like wildebeest, gazelle, zebra, antelope, giraffe, ostrich, hyena, cheetah, and many others. Dominated by grassland savannah, the pockets of riparian forest, rocky hills, and acacia woodland intersperse the plains of the National Reserve.
Arrive by afternoon, post- check-in, have lunch and then proceed for an afternoon game drive at the famous Masai Mara national reserve.
Go for morning and afternoon drives at Masai Mara. Find a lot of wildlife in the vast open savannas of Mara. You can even opt for full-day game drives with packed breakfast and lunch. We focus on migration herds, Lion prides, Cheetahs and Leopards. Hippos will be spotted too. Masai Mara is going to be thrilling and memorable.
Early morning check out post early breakfast, transfer to local airstrip for flight to Serengeti national park (Eta 11:40Hrs). Serengeti literally means the land with no end. You will realise the reason why it is so,once you land there. It is a vast endless plain with a magnitude like no other wildlife park in the world. To describe the same in numbers, its area is 30,000 square kms which is roughly the area of Belguim as a country. Check in for lunch, and then go for an afternoon game drive till sunset.
Today we set out for a full day game drive with packed meals and look for these endless plains with abundant wildlife, whichever direction you head to. It is one of the best places in the planet to experience the African big 5 – the Lions, Leopards, Buffalos, Rhinos and the Elephants. It is also home to numerous other birds and animals, Serengeti can only be experienced, not described. Evening return back to the camp.
Early morning, check out with packed meals and drive to Ngorongoro. Step inside the carter for a full day game drive with packed meals as we explore wildlife in the crater, this was created when an enormous volcano ( bigger than Kilimanjaro) blew up. The caldera has very high density of wildlife in it. Later we transfer to our lodge & Check in.
Enjoy breakfast at leisure, check out & drive to Lake Manyara, located near Karatu town and Ngorongoro conservation area entrance in Tanzania. The national park is based around a huge freshwater lake which is a namesake. It is famous for its tree climbing Lion population and Leopards. More than 390 species of birds have been documented here. Check in and carry packed lunch to enjoy a full day game drive at Lake Manyara national park.
Enjoy breakfast at leisure, check out & drive to Tarangire, the national park got its name from the Tarangire river which flows through it. The landscape has granite ridges, valleys and swamps. Tarangire is characterised by its high density of Baobab trees and Elephants. Check in for early lunch and set out for a game drive at Tarangire. Later return to the lodge, in the evening.
After Breakfast, checkout and drive to Arusha, and head out to the Namanga International border. You will meet your new guide on the Kenya side and set out for a drive to check in at your camp. Rest of the day for leisure and relaxation.
Today we enjoy a full day game drive at Amboseli, often called the ‘Land of the Giants’, situated southeast of Nairobi, Amboseli is home to some of the most majestic creatures living on this planet. The park embodies five different natural habitats ranging from savannah and grassland plains, to swamps, dry lake beds and acacia woodlands. Surmounted by the great Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli is surely every nature lover’s paradise. Evening return to the camp.
Enjoy breakfast as we check out & drive to Nairobi. On arrival, check in and after brief rest, enjoy the city orientation tour visiting Karen Blixen museum, Nairobi Museum, Giraffe centre. Evening free time till 6pm. You can explore Sarit centre or village market, followed by return to the hotel and rest.
